By the end of April, spring is in full swing. Many early woodland wildflowers are beginning to bloom. As the temperatures rise, some insects can even be seen buzzing around. Early Spring arrivals like Eastern Pheobe, Chipping Sparrow and Pine Warbler can be heard singing in the canopy. Early Spring is a great time to get out and take pictures! Leaves have yet to grow in, so the shade is minimal, and it's harder to miss birds in the trees.
This why we've chosen this date to explore the beatiful Greenbrook Nature Sanctuary. Greenbrook, while typcially open via membership only, has kindly invited anyone who is interested to join them for a few hours this Spring to photograph their beautiful grounds. Loaner lenses from Sigma will be available for you to try. Bergen County Camera staff will be available for questions and photographic instruction throughout the outing.
- Greenbrook Sanctuary’s entrance is on U.S. Route 9W in Tenafly, New Jersey. Grounds are open year-round to PNA members and their guests. Gates will be open to BCC Event guests on this special day. Gates open at 10:00am.
- Loaner lenses will be available from Sigma. *Drivers license and/or credit card will be required for all loaner lenses.
