Thank you for your quick response to my email regarding Gary. As it turned out I exchanged my point and shoot for the Olympus Camedia C-4040. After further thought, the point and shoot did seem pointless. Pardon the pun. Anyway, I probably was in the store for over 3 hours yesterday and once again, Gary showed such energy, knowledge, enthusiasm and determination to give a customer the full rundown of what is involved in owning this type of equipment. After spending time on the computer with the adobe software, handling various cameras, a choice was finally made. Even though my background was as a still photography, Gary showed me the great possibilities for the digital process. Frankly, it feels like I'm starting over. The one thing that does stay constant is my own personal vision.

Learn More - Photoshop Actions (Photoshop Only)

Have you ever looked at a folder with 200 digital images that need to be rotated, sharpened and sized to 4 x 6 at 300 dpi and dreaded the thought of opening each image one by one and the hours it would take? Once you've mastered the creation of a Photoshop action, your on the road to Photoshop automation. To apply automations, you'll simply point to the folder, click on what action you want to use and click on the folder you want your finished files to go and click okay! That's it - now you can watch TV or work on something else while Photoshop does the work opening adjusting and saving 200 files!

Join BCC's John Tworsky for a two hour class covering the skills necessary to automate Photoshop through the use of actions. Actions are not available in Adobe Elements 1, 2 or 3. During this step by step presentation there will be plenty of time for questions in addition to a question and answer period at the end of the presentation. A full set of handouts illustrating action creation step by step which will allow you to create you own actions when your sitting in front of your computer.

The fee for this single evening course is $50, with a minimum $50 in coupons for scanning and digital imaging services. Please give us a call at 800-841-4118 or stop by the store to purchase your tickets.

Please check our events section for upcoming dates.

This class assumes a familiarity with Photoshop and basic commands such as levels, sharpen, rotate etc. Not sure of the suitability of this class? Send John an email to discuss your situation.
