Leica D-Lux 4 - January 2010 Review
D-Lux 4 Specifications Low Light Concert Images Employee & Customer Images
If you have read our past praises of the Leica D-Lux 4 camera and find this repetitive, we apologize. Since we last singled out the D-Lux 4 as among the best low light compact digital camera ever made -- if not THE best -- it has been adopted by hundreds of BCC’s most talented and discerning photographers. The images we are seeing from these users have been nothing short of incredible. I look at the results both from our customers’ work and my own, and cannot believe that this compact digital delivers the results it does. I am beginning to think it’s a “magic” camera! I strongly encourage you to see the continuing cavalcade of images made with the D-Lux 4 online at BergenCountyCamera.com/D-Lux. For those who have yet to make the purchase, seeing the stunning work displayed here will be enough to convince you to pick one up.
For those who know the features, you can skip ahead. The Leica D-Lux 4 was introduced to replace its highly acclaimed predecessor, the Leica D-Lux 3. While the "3" was wildly successful, widely adopted and almost always backordered in its’ 3 year run, the D-Lux 4 manages to significantly raise the bar for all compact digital cameras. The D-Lux 4 is equipped with an unprecedented 24-60 ƒ2-2.8 Leica lens. The combination of subtle, timeless beauty, superior performance, and unmatched 3 year warranty, along with the incredible Leica ownership experience justify our singling out the D-Lux 4 for this special message in 2010. Consider, too, the robust market for previously used Leica compact digital cameras selling at a significant percentage of their original cost, and you have a value proposition no other compact digital camera can make. Another reason for its significant value retention is Leica's long-standing philosophy that counters the popular industry trend of claiming minor product facelifts as "New!"
If you act quickly, you may even be able to secure one of the few remaining Limited Edition D-Lux4 Safari Kits, complete with matching hand- stitched, sage colored canvas case. Early in 2009, a limited edition Titanium set quickly sold out and is being resold today at a substantial premium. In addition to all the qualities of the black D-Lux 4, there is the distinction of having one of fewer than 1,000 cameras for the USA. Its distinctive look is evident in the image (below), but you must experience this in person to fully appreciate it.
Please visit soon to experience the Leica D-Lux 4. It offers a haven of long lasting value and quality that's difficult to find in today's morass of a thousand indistinct compact digicams.
Bring this invitation with you and we'll double your memory purchase while cutting your spare battery purchase 50% when purchased with any D-Lux 4.
Appreciatively,
Tom Gramegna
