Quintessential New Jersey photographer George Tice to make rare public appearance during Englewood Gallery Walk

Master Photographer George Tice, best known for his large format black and white photographs, will greet visitors Saturday, October 25 from Noon – 5 p.m. at Bergen County Camera’s Gallery 270, 10 North Dean Street, Englewood, during the Gallery Guild of Englewood’s annual Autumn Gallery Walk.

George Tice’s work is included in more than 80 major museum collections including the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York and the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles, as well as private collections. Some of his iconic New Jersey images form the scenic backdrop for Broadway’s “Jersey Boys.” He is also a master photographic printer, who was commissioned to print the Edward Steichen portfolio.

Nearly 30 signed, limited edition platinum photographs by George Tice are available at Gallery 270. In addition, 17 books of photographs by Tice have been published, many of which are available at Gallery 270 for inscription by the artist on October 25.

Anticipating Tice’s exhibition and visit to Gallery 270, founder Tom Gramegna enthused, "There is no greater living photographer than George Tice, whose iconic images are magical to see in person. Hosting him at Gallery 270 is a great honor for us, and a rare opportunity for our neighbors in Bergen County to meet this photographic genius.”
